Lane Closures on State Routes 99, 132, & Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform lane closures on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- Moving closure of the #3 (right) lane on northbound and southbound SR-99 from the Merced County line to the San Joaquin County line for a sweeping operation beginning Tuesday, April 2, through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
- Closure of the #1 (left) lane on northbound SR-99 from Golf Road to Lander Avenue in Turlock for bridge work on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Closure of the #1 (left) lane of southbound SR-99 from Sierra Drive to Ninth Street in Modesto for guardrail repair on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
- Closure of the #3 (right) lane of northbound SR-99 from Mitchell Road to Second Street in Ceres for guardrail repair on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
- Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound SR-99 between Crows Landing Road and Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto for construction work beginning Tuesday, April 2, through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
State Route 132
- Alternating lane closures on SR-132 between Reinway Avenue and Center Street and one-way traffic control between Center Street and F Street/Hickman Road and on intersecting side streets in Waterford for construction work beginning Wednesday, April 3, through Friday, April 5, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
- Note: Construction is expected to continue through Fall of 2024.
- Overnight, lane shift on westbound SR-132 between I Street and Santa Fe Avenue in Empire for utility work beginning Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight, alternating lane closures on SR-132 between El Vista Avenue/Mitchell Road and Trask Lane for utility work beginning Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Interstate 5
- Closure of the #2 (right) lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 140 (Merced County line) to 2.5 miles north, for a crack seal operation beginning Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
- Closure of the #2 (right) lane of southbound I-5 from Sperry Avenue to the Vista Point in Patterson, for a crack seal operation on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
- Closure of the #2 (right) lane of southbound I-5 from the Vista Point to Fink Road for a crack seal operation on Friday April 5, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
