Hells Hole Overlay Project on State Route 299 in Trinity County

The Project:

The Hells Hole Overlay Project will provide a pavement overlay on approximately seven miles of State Route 299 in Trinity County near Big Flat, from 0.6 mile east of Skunk Point Campground to the North Fork Trinity River Bridge.

Project Includes:

Replacing asphalt concrete surfacing in isolated locations via dig outs and placing 0.10’ rubberized hot mix asphalt overlay in project area, shoulder backing, guardrail updates, and striping.  No work will be conducted on bridge decks.

Current Project Schedule:

There are an estimated 25 working days for this project, all which will require traffic control.  Construction is currently scheduled for 2024.
