Steel Buck Chip Project on State Route 299 in Trinity County

The Project:

The Steel Buck Chip Project will provide an asphalt rubber chip seal on State Route 299 near Douglas City, from Steel Bridge Road to 1.5 miles west of the Grass Valley Creek Bridge, AND near Buckhorn Summit, from 2.5 miles west of Trinity Dam Boulevard to the Shasta/Trinity County line.

Project Includes:

The project will place an asphalt rubber chip seal on State Route 299 in the project area, along with isolated areas of concrete dig outs and the removal and replacement of thermoplastic pavement markers and striping.

Current Project Schedule:

There are an estimated 20 working days for this project, all of which will require traffic control.  Construction is currently scheduled for 2024.
