State Route 37 Pavement Project
Caltrans will continue Westbound SR-37 work this Friday, April 26 at 9:00 P.M. During the 55-hour weekend full highway closures, Caltrans will continue major pavement repair work on Westbound following two weekends of Eastbound SR-37 between Solano and Sonoma counties. One traffic direction on SR-37 will be worked on at a time. Detours will be in effect. All work is weather dependent.

State Route-37 Solano Pavement Repair Project: Westbound SR-37 work continues this Friday, April 26 at 9:00 PM
55-hour Full Westbound Highway Closure on State Route-37 between Mare Island (SR-39, Vallejo) and Sears Point (SR-121, Sonoma)
Please Note: Only the westbound direction of SR-37, heading towards Sonoma County from Vallejo is closed. Please follow the detour and Be Work Zone Alert for all construction and safety signs.
Eastbound work is scheduled for May 3, & May 10 weekends.

Caltrans will continue to alternately close eastbound and westbound State Route 37 (SR-37) on 3 more consecutive weekends. Westbound SR-37 work will continue this Friday, April 26 at 9:00 P.M. During the 55-hour weekend full highway closures, Caltrans will perform major pavement repair work on Westbound then eastbound SR-37 between Solano and Sonoma counties. One traffic direction on SR-37 will be worked on at a time. Detours will be in effect. All work is weather dependent.
Westbound (WB) SR-37 Full Highway Closures at SR-29 (Vallejo) to SR-121 (Sonoma) continues April 26:
Weekend closure on WB SR-37 continues the weekend of April 26. WB SR-37 will be closed and traffic detoured beginning at the WB SR-37 Connector Off-ramp to SR-29 in Vallejo. Closures will start Friday April 26 at 9:00 PM. and conclude on the following Monday, April 29 at 4:00 AM. The following weekend, Eastbound SR-37 work will begin with closures starting Friday, May 3 at 9:00 PM and conclude the following Monday, May 6 at 5:00 AM.
Westbound State Route 37 Detour
- Motorists traveling westbound on SR-37 will need to exit right onto northbound SR-29 (Sonoma Blvd) in Vallejo
- Continue on NB SR-29 (Broadway) in American Canyon to SR-29/SR-12
- Turn left and continue on SR-12/SR-121 (Carneros Hwy/Fremont Drive)
- Turn left on SR-121 (Arnold Drive)
- Make a right back on WB SR-37.
Eastbound SR-37 Full Highway Closures at SR-121 (Sonoma) to SR-29 (Vallejo) Weekends of May 3 and May 10: All work is weather dependent.
Weekend closures on eastbound (EB) SR-37 is scheduled on the weekend of May 3 & May 10. EB SR-37 will be closed and traffic detoured beginning at the NB SR-121 (Sears Point) in Sonoma.
Closures will start Friday May 3 at 9:00 PM. and conclude on the following Monday May 6 at 5:00 AM.
The following weekend, closures will start Friday, May 10 at 9:00 PM and conclude on the following Monday, May 13 at 5:00 AM.
Eastbound State Route 37 Detour
- Motorists traveling eastbound on SR-37 will need to exit left onto northbound SR-121 in Sonoma
- Make a right on SR-12/SR-121(Carneros Hwy) and continue
- Right on SR-12/SR-29
- Enter left for the connector loop Off-ramp back to EB SR-37
Why The Work is Needed
These full weekend closures are necessary for worker and public safety. Caltrans will perform major pavement repair on the traffic lanes in both the eastbound and westbound directions of SR-37. The roadway has become worn and in need of repairs due to of high traffic use.
Closing SR-37 During Weekends is a Safer Alternative to 30 Days of Nightly Closures for Workers' and Motorists' Safety
These closures will allow for asphalt pavement in eastbound and westbound traffic lanes to be replaced. These closures will shorten the duration of the project by 30 nights providing improved safety and better ride quality to the public.
