Northbound & Southbound I-605 Lane & Ramp Closures Scheduled from South Street to Telegraph Road

 

Los Angeles County— Caltrans announces scheduled lane and ramp closures on northbound and southbound Interstate 605 (I-605) January 8th to 14th to remove and replace concrete slabs and to conduct initial irrigation and electrical work. The closures are subject to change and are scheduled as follows:

 

Monday, Jan. 8 through Friday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., expect closures of the following ramps:

·      Eastbound Del Amo Boulevard on-ramps to northbound & southbound I-605.

·      Westbound Del Amo Boulevard on-ramp to southbound I-605.

·      Eastbound South Street on-ramp to northbound I-605.

·      Eastbound Alondra Boulevard on-ramps to northbound & southbound I-605.

·      Westbound Alondra Boulevard on-ramps to southbound I-605.

·      Westbound Rosecrans Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-605.

·      Telegraph Road off-ramp from northbound I-605.

 

Monday night, Jan. 8 through Thursday night, Jan. 11 from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

·      Northbound I-605 connectors to eastbound & westbound State Route 91 (SR-91) closed.

 

From 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 to 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14:

·      Northbound I-605 from South Street to SR-91 four right lanes closed.

 

Sunday night, Jan. 7 through Thursday night, Jan. 11:

·      Ramona Blvd off-ramp from northbound I-605 closed from 10 p.m.to 6 a.m.

·      Ramona Blvd on-ramp to southbound I-605 closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

 

Alternate route: Northbound and southbound I-710 or I-5. Detour signs will be in place. Lanes will re-open each morning.

This work is part of the Super 605 corridor project to rehabilitate I-605 from Long Beach to the San Gabriel Valley. A total of $260 million in construction costs is funded with $238 million from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and more than $20.5 million from Senate Bill (SB) 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. The contractors are segment are CA Rasmussen Inc., Vanguard Construction Inc., and Peterson Chase General Engineering Construction, Inc. Caltrans reminds drivers to “Be Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
