Night Work Continues on SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road
SAN DIEGO——Motorists can expect nighttime lane closures on State Route 67, Highland Valley Road and Dye Road in Ramona during the next three weeks beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, according to Caltrans.
The lane closures will take place Tuesday through Thursday nights from 7 until 5 in the morning, to finish pavement work for the State Route 67 (SR-67) Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Improvement Project.
At least one lane will remain open during work activities. Flaggers will be present to help direct motorists through the construction zone when one-way traffic control is in place.
Motorists may experience slower moving traffic during the lane closures and are asked to allow additional time to reach their destinations.
Construction on the SR-67 Dye Road/Highland Valley Road Improvement Project began in May 2016 and is nearing completion. The project widened SR-67 at the intersection from one to two through lanes in each direction and constructed additional turn lanes on SR-67 to better accommodate commercial trucks and improve traffic flow. Other improvements include adding an equestrian trail along Dye and Highland Valley roads, push button pedestrian and equestrian crossings, upgraded concrete curb ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and updated drainage. Plant establishment will continue for another year with no traffic impacts.
