SACRAMENTO – In an effort to raise money for charity, Caltrans employees donated their time and money to hold a car show. In this Caltrans News Flash, our Division of Equipment employees, who work every day on fleet automobiles and equipment, channeled their passion refurbishing old cars into restored classics.
The car show, in its second year, raised $2660.00, more than double the amount raised the year before. All proceeds were donated to the American Heart and Stroke Association. The show was open to all state employees willing to use their own time off to participate. Employees from Caltrans, Department of General Services, Department of Motor Vehicles, and CAL FIRE participated, with 62 vehicles on display.
